Ben Scheltus - Principal Consultant


Ben is a strongly self-motivated and highly experienced senior consulting professional with more than 30 years’ experience across a range of disciplines including engineering, consulting, business continuity planning and business management. Ben has a solid understanding of both IT and business management and an ability to bridge the gap and bring alignment between these two disciplines. Extensive vendor liaison and management skills have been developed through roles requiring supplier management as well as those working for IT vendors. This brings with it experience in large project development and implementation, disaster recovery planning and implementation, procurement, systems operations and maintenance and business case development.

He is at ease working with all levels of management and practised at mobilising the resources of major companies to deliver outcomes. Ben was until recently responsible for all aspects of KPMG Australia's business continuity Program, its maintenance and exercising regime. He further developed all aspects of documentation, exercising, communications and crisis management. He closely liaised with IT to ensure the disaster recovery plan aligned with the business continuity plan.

Prior to joining KPMG, Ben worked at CSC - one of the world's largest IT services companies and a major player in the Australian marketplace. Ben provided disaster recovery and business continuity consulting services to CSC's clients in Australia. CSC ran a very extensive annual disaster recovery testing program in Australia for its managed services clients. Ben also provided business support and business development support for CSC’s new clients.

For almost ten years, Ben has successfully run a not for profit called Climate Alliance. Its role is to help company directors more easily inform themselves about the risks and opportunities presented by climate change. Ben recently joined as a committee member of the Victoria/Tasmania Forum of the Business Continuity Institute Australasia Ltd.


Michael Lynch - Senior Consultant

Michael Lynch leverages over 30 years of professional consulting expertise in information technology (IT) to provide innovative and independent advice to medium and large organisations. Michael’s focus is to enable organisations to successfully align their IT requirements with business outcomes.

Through his extensive experience working within a diverse range of industries, both private and government, Michael intuitively understands highly complex technologies and related business issues and is able to effectively communicate solutions to business executives. Michael’s experience encompasses the whole of ICT architecture and the associated integration of enterprise wide business critical applications including the provision of ‘as a service’ or consumption-based cloud transition project planning and implementation.

Michael specialises in the development, implementation and optimisation of enterprise solutions and alignment of associated business processes. Michael has extensive experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery and has successfully completed engagements in both Government (South Eastern Sydney Area Health – Emergency Departments) and Private sectors including enterprise clients such as Commonwealth Bank, Transfield Services and KPMG as well as numerous clients in the manufacturing and services sectors.

Michael has successfully completed a Masters of Business in IT Management at the University of Technology in Sydney (distinction average) completing subjects including IT Governance, IT Strategy and Design, Strategic Business Management, Advanced Project Management and Managing Organisational Change. Through his extensive experience and expertise, Michael has clearly demonstrated his ability to spearhead technology improvement initiatives in enterprise IT planning and design, establishing governance frameworks and forming appropriately skilled teams to ensure the successful deployment of large transformational programs of work.


Robert Becker - Senior Consultant

Robert has been consulting with many large Enterprise, Government and Commercial customers for over 30 years, across Australia & New Zealand. With a strong background in Information Technology, Robert has helped many organisations with their digital transformation journey, identifying and mitigating risk, while architecting solutions that are both highly available and redundant, both for on premise and cloud implementations.

Robert leverages an extensive network of customers and vendors that help to define his extensive software, services and consulting solutions. Robert has a keen passion in educational change, aviation and renewable energy solutions for the planet.
